Bridge over Fehmarn strait

This project involves a connection between Lolland island in Denmark and Fehmarn island in Germany. The completion of this bridge along with the already existing Øresund bridge will connect the Scandinavian peninsula with Germany through the Baltic sea. The connection should support railroad and roadway traffic with total length of 19 Km. Since it is necessary to maintain an ample ship canal due to the busy sea traffic, so it is essential to consider bridges that comply this requirement. Two alternatives considered are attached.
